Tro Breiz

Our pilgrimage trail is off to a good start in 2010, with Lesley and Denise kicking off with a visit to the extraordinary sculpted rocks of Rotheneuf. Have a look by clicking the Tro Breiz link on the right here.

A good time had by all ....

Great walk yesterday, with the initially very cold weather turning out to be pretty good for a long hike. Thanks to all who participated, and especially to Chris and Barry for the photos. In March we go back to two walks per month as usual, so lots of spring walking to come.

Walk Tomorrow

We have a long (9.2kms) but fairly flat walk tomorrow (Tues), starting from La Gare on the canal on the main road between Cleden-Poher and St-Hernin. Old railway track out and towpath back, so easy going underfoot. Walk starts at 2pm. Look forward to seeing you there.

Study Days

The details of our Study Days are now up on the new Brittany Walks website (brittanywalks.com). The choice of topics is Megaliths, The Age of Saints and Medieval Brittany, three aspects of the region that often arouse the curiosity of residents and visitors alike. Find out about your surroundings! Give your brain a spring-clean! Each topic is being offered on two separate dates, and there's a reduction for booking more than one. Have a look!

Great walk!

We had a most enjoyable afternoon yesterday - thanks to all the usual crowd who turned out for a forest walk in perfect walking conditions, followed by well-deserved hot chocolate. Thanks to Dave for one of these photos, and for his dog handling skills!

Huelgoat Walk rescheduled

Despite a few brave souls turning up for the Huelgoat walk yesterday, conditions were really too bad to risk - even worse than the roads! We therefore decided to call it off, and the walk is rescheduled, same time and place, for Tuesday, January 26th. Hope we are all a bit warmer by then. Many thanks to Phil for his help as anchorman!
